I have to credit my company’s success to the fact that when I created it in 1991, I had no business model to follow and was forced to focus on the needs of my clients relocating to Huntsville area. My inspiration for starting this type of company came from my experiences with a traditional REALTOR when I bought my first home. I just didn’t get a whole lot of guidance from the real estate community. It seemed to me that when we went on home buying trips, the first thing agents would do is establish how much I could pay and then show me their listings. They weren’t interested in me or my lifestyle, or the type of neighborhood I’d like to live in. They were just interested in trying to sell me something. I decided to create a company that would service the people relocating here the way I would have liked to have been served. We don’t take listings. We never have. We are not interested on pushing something on our clients. We need to understand what their needs are before we do anything. Although I’ve helped hundreds of clients, generating millions of dollars in sales while saving my client’s thousands of dollars. I am very proud, to be one of only a handful of REALTORS® in Alabama to call themselves an exclusive buyer agent. Today, I am fortunate that I have never worked for a traditional company before starting my own. If I had learned that business from a traditional real estate company and thought that’s what it took to be successful, I never would have opened my own company. My dedication to buyer representation includes being the first person in the state to earn the ABR designation being #215 in the entire nation. I was also in the first class to receive the ABRM designation and one of the first to get the CBA designation, also was the first to actually teach the ABR class here in the state. I am a Certified Real Instructor of Real Estate so designated by the Alabama Real Estate Commission. Adding to this I am the Adjunct Professor of Real Estate at Calhoun Community College and have been so since 1991. My educational background includes a B.S. degree from Athens State University and a J.D. degree in Law from the Birmingham School of Law. I promise to deliver the best client service possible. WHAT IS BUYER REPRESENTATION???

There are two types of Buyer Agents:

Buyer Agent

You may start out with your agent representing only you, but later, if you become interested in a property listed with your agent's firm, your agency status MUST change. You agent might become a Transaction Broker or Agent (representing the interests of neither the Buyer nor the Seller) or a Limited Consensual Dual Agent (representing the interests of both the Seller and the Buyer) in showings, negotiations or transactions involving the property.

 

Exclusive Buyer Agent

An exclusive buyer agent owes only to the home buyer the duties of loyalty, confidentiality, obedience, disclosure, reasonable care and diligence, and accountability. The Buyer's Agent of Huntsville is an exclusive buyer agency and never represents sellers. We have a "fiduciary" responsibility to you so you will never have the possibility of a conflict of interest or having your agent reveal potentially damaging information about you.
